My favorite personal quote as of late is as follows: I am me. Nothing more, nothing less. Yes, I said that. It's even on my MySpace. I am a nurse and a student, a mother to two cats, and independent to a fault! I am dark and chipper, and I suppose I might qualify as a goth.

I am not passionate about much, but music and concerts are among two of my obsessions. Makeup is lower on the list, but still within my top 10. I am a writer, a singer, a dancer, and a poet... or at least I used to be a poet. I dream, I sleep during the day, I sew, I wear corsets when I go out. I love boots, and not the cowboy kind either. I have one tattoo, soon to be two, my nose is pierced, and so is my cartilage. I'd like to get my tongue and/or belly button done when I have time. Travel is also in my top 10 passions. I love Europe, and I want to see it all!!

I want to have a lot of "I can't believe that actually happened!!" memories with my friends by the time I turn 30!! That said, I don't mind doing things by myself! I'd rather be alone and happy than with a friend or significant other who uses me in one way or another. I hate to drive, but I love my car!

I love dysfunctional weather! I've lived in California most of my life, and the sunshine just pisses me off. I don't want to live here anymore, but I need my bachelors degree to be a nurse in the UK. So that's what I'm studying for.

I dye my hair dark, I wear black eyeliner, but my skin is naturally pale. I may not have been born a goth, but I certainly pull it off well. I swear like a sailor, but I can charm like a goddess. I don't like people walking all over me, and I won't let it happen anymore.

My favorite bands are H.I.M., The Rasmus, and Kill Hannah. I've seen the latter two in concert twice, I'm still waiting to see the former.

Holidays have lost their magic for me... and while I love the Christmas season, the holiday is just another day to me... as is my birthday which follows three days after. Valentines day is for people with someone who loves them, which hasn't ever happened to me, so it's not worth my time. The patriotic holidays are for those who love their country. I don't hate my country, but I don't like what it's become, so I'm certainly not going to celebrate it. However, if you offer me a party on a holiday, particularly if it involves alcohol, then I'm game. :)
